SET Film Institute
In its development, SET has been asked by several institutions and communities to conduct cinema recreating workshop in numeorus categories, from documentary, public service announcement to movies, nationally and internationally. These workshops were performed in different regions, Jayapura, Kalimantan to Jogjakarta.
With the great deal of experiences, in 2005, SET will launch an educational institute in Jakarta officially for cinematography of all category, from movie, documentary, ads, music video to audiovisual products for corporate social liability.
Educational Concept
Along with experience background as the initiator of numerous workshop and the new creator generation’s thriving space, SET Film Institute will apply workshop system on its educational program. Other than theoritical material in class, in a workshop trainees are also receive in-field practical material. The goal of this audiovisual education is to improve practical ability, to comprehend and to posses the spirit of recreation in audiovisual production.
SET Film Institute education program is design for trainee with beginner, intermediate, and advance category. Material adjusted subject to trainee’s proficiency condition. Beside regular production material, training package for certain purposes are also provided, such as media advocation and campaign needs.
Program
The programs offered by SET Film Institute includes documentary production, motion picture production, television movie production, advertisement, corporate social liability production and television journalism program.
Staff Pengajar
SET Film Institute entirely supported by well-experienced mentors of various fields of study necessary in recreating. The mentors had been improved to be able to produce high quality motion pictures and television products. Other than practical experiences, they’re also known as competent audivisual instructors, and humanity study lecturers required in cinematography study. Among of them are Garin Nugroho, Lianto Luseno, Arturo GP, Arya Gani, Asaf Antariksa, Jujur Prananto, Syarif Sarim, Dr. Effendi Ghazalli, Sutanto, Dr. Tanete A. Pong Masak, Indra J. Piliang.
